4.5 million euros in "More Sustainable Buildings 2020/2021" support exhausted
The Ministry of the Environment and Climate Action has announced that the "More Sustainable Buildings 2020/2021" has had 4,234 applications since it was launched, applications that should thus exhaust the announced ceiling of 4.5 ME in support, thus leading to its closure!
“4,234 applications have already been submitted to the 'More Sustainable Buildings 2020/2021' program, which is expected to exhaust the 4.5 million euros, the total allocation for this support," reads the executive's statement.
Of these more than 4,000 applications, around 900 have already been paid out, which corresponds to around 1.75 million euros. At the end of December, the program will be successfully closed, but any applications that are still submitted will be supported through the Environmental Fund, which will be reinforced if necessary!
More Sustainable Buildings Program returns in March 2021
In March 2021 there will be a new program to support the sustainability of homes, so applications will be reopened with amounts from the Recovery and Resilience Plan!
“The expenses incurred by those interested in applying, as of January 1st, will be eligible under the new program, which is why they should keep the invoices/receipts related to these expenses," said Matos Fernandes' Ministry!
The government has created the More Sustainable Buildings program to promote the rehabilitation and improvement of the energy and water performance of buildings.
